    This album just wrecks me. Shakes me to my core. The scenes in the Mountain Goats' songs are the moments during which lives are changed and paths are decided. I do not think anyone in the world writes songs like this, outside of Darnielle himself.

    Full Force Galesburg is just beautiful. Characteristic of The Mountain Goats, there are several songs on this CD that really make me appreciate being alive. I cannot think of a better feeling that can be manifested through music than the appreciation for life. In my opinion, John Darnielle is the best songwriter ever and he shows that on this cd. I loved Snow Owl, Weekend in Western Illinois, and Evening in Stalingrad. P.S. buy Treetop Song off of New Asian Cinema...
