This was the first Gackt album that I listened to and it hooked me easily. It's essentially "Gackt's Greatest Hits" and there isn't a single song on it that I don't enjoy. Those unfamiliar with his work should definitely start with this album as it provides a clear look at Gackt's music. If you really like this one, you'll likely have a hard time finding a Gackt album you don't enjoy.

If you've never bought a Gackt album before I recomend you start with this one. It is more or less a greatest hits album and thats pretty much all you'll find here. This album carries songs from all over Gackt's career and gives the listener a, tour if you will, of his range. Very few artists, both japanese and english, have the talent or the courage to jump from rock (Lu;na) to pop (Vanilla) to a ballad (Saikai-Story). You will not be dissappointed and I can promise that you'll come back and buy his other albums.

This is the first GACKT album I purchased, and I ended up purchasing all the other albums right away. If you're new to GACKT world, this would be a great beginning. Vanilla is SO delicious and catchy, it played in my head for several days straight. Oasis, Seki-Ray, and Mirror show off GACKT's unique style and talent that are almost other-worldly. There are some lighter pop tunes that are fun and uplifting. My favorites are Tsuki No Uta, Last Song, and Saikai - Story. But seriously, all the songs on this album are MUST HAVES.

This was my first Gackt album, and i have to say it is unbelievably great! It includes 14 of his hit singles, which creates a great album. It really includes a great range of songs. Tsuki no Uta, Mizerable, last Song, and Saikai Story are great examples of his more touching, emotional ballads that really show his passion. Then there are are songs such as Mirror, Lu:Na, Another World, Oasis, that really explode and show you his powerful vocals. All in all, one of the best Gackt albums there is. Great for those just getting into Gackt especially as it shows how great his range is, but also great for all other fans as well!

I got this for Oasis & Lu;na. Oasis & Lu;na are from New Fist of The North Star (sequal to popular anime of the 80's). Although I got this for those songs all these other songs are great too. Tsuki No Uta (Translation:Poem of The Moon) is from the anime Texhnolyze. Secret Garden is awesome as well. Another World is also good. All these songs are GOOD! You can't go wrong with this album, it's that good. My biggest favorite Is OASIS. The lyrics to OASIS are simply breathtaking! Gackt is simply legendary!
  • A good introduction to Gackt

This is essentially a greatest hits album. Some of the songs have been rearranged and not all of them are better, in my opinion. For example, I love the song "Mirror" but the version on the Sixth Day is kinda weird to me. However, overall, if you want a good place to start with Gackt's catalog this is it.

So I have to admit something... a friend gave me three Gackt songs several years ago (Vanilla, Mizerable, Kimi no Tame Ni Dekiru Koto) and they are some of my favorites in my collection. I am so incredibly happy I can buy this collection on iTunes and legitimately compensate the artist and label for such incredible music. Very, very excited today.

This is by far one of my favorite albums from Gackt. The songs are well arranged on the album and some are even more powerful than their original versions. He has a good variety on here and I don't get tired of listening to it. This is especially good for people new to his music.
