A very good album, typical of Earl and Bob when they collaborate. Too bad the negative review is no longer available. It is my opinion that Klugh’s song writing is superior to James. Listen to the songs , pick your favorites, I will bet Klugh wrote them. Bob James strong suit is his brilliant accompaniment. James creates tension, Klugh answers it on his guitar. Not there best but very good

While this isn’t my favorite offering from either Bob James or Earl Klugh, the automatic dismissal from the lead reviewer — who continually shows contempt for smooth jazz in general, and Bob James in particular — doesn’t take into account the true yet gentle passion of this music. It is far more than merely technically adept.

Bob & Earl should do one project every year they are some magical together. They should have blessed the world with a dozen album by now, I hope they continue to make music together for as long as we are blessed to have them.

The reviewer was detached when they wrote this review. Both Bob James & Earl Klugh are serious musicians in their own right. Smooth Jazz gets a bad rap because there are some musicians whom make monotonous monotone arrangements that do lack a cohesive and emotional tone. But give this album a listen and I bet ya "detached" will never enter ones mind. There's a reason these two won a grammy together (One on One Album). In fact you may hear with your own ear what smooth jazz should sound like....Cool!!!

Album Review is DEAD WRONG!!! I love this classic album. You can't go wrong with Bob James...Smoothe Jazz doesn't get any props any more, just look at all of the radio stations that were dedicated to this genre of music that have disappered across the country...it's a crying shame I tell ya!!!
  • Still cool ....

In 1996, a teenager stumbled upon this. In 2013 he's still listening to it. It became etched into his life, his memories.

I don't have a clue what the reviewer above is talking about-this is a great jazz album! There is not one bad song on the album and I rate this album up there with breezin and winelight as among the best jazz albums I have ever heard. These two artists have combined for a masterful blend of songs. Again, buy this album-you won't regret it!!!

I can't find one song that I hate on this album because I like them all. Classic Album! Rarely can you find a 'smooth jazz' album nowadays in which ALL the songs are good.
  • By Beau Shelby-THE OPENING REVIEW IS TOTALLY MISLEADING! Do NOT regard!
