Deep. Real. One truth. Usually one riff. Possibly one take. Chingalera keep it real in the face of all the Emo, Screamo & Twee-mo bands popping out of your TV right now, (you know the ones - drummer sings melodic hooks, star boy frontman screams cookie monster, band progs out for the middle 8). Born of more honest underground and art-metal roots like Melvins and Quicksand, "In the Shadow..." bleeds all over you like a 21st century horror movie. Kudos to Albini for minimal adjustments. Probably what you thought you'd feel listening to the new Stooges, but didn't.
