  • Sophisticated Ballads & Blues with Country Class!

Brent Mason’s “Smokin’ Section (2006)” is a jazz-laden, guitar driven mix of instrumental and soulful sophisticated ballads and Blues with touch of Country Class—think of a smoked filled bar in dark leather and paneling, the soft clatter of silverware and couples talking to the sound of a piano combo. Now, imagine the guitar player is really good . . .

This album reinspired me to pick up my guitar and play for four hours a day again. I was so tired of everything that I had been playing and my playing became stagnent until I listened to this. If you are a guitarist or even just a music lover buy this record you won't be sorry. Thanx Brent and Randy.

This is another great album from the Nashville Studio Ace Brent Mason. He appears on this album with brother Randy Mason on the drums. The songs are absolutly brilliant and filled with amazing guitar lines and lots of soul. Brent Mason takes it to a whole another level with this recording. Highly recommend. I also recommend George Benson, Larry Carlton and Shane Isenberg.
