This album is an amazing mix of the modern and the classic. It starts with the well known star spangled banner and continues to the very interesting piece which the album is named after. Following is a great collection of french dances that will make anyone feel like they are at a Napoleonic victory party. Performed by one of the USAF bands this album gives you a good idea of there abilities. Having been around since 1941 they may be much younger than the better known US Marine band, but they don't show there youth one bit. They give a great performance on these tracks and if you like this album you should also check out Heroes, Lost And Fallen.

This album has amazing music performed by an amazing group of people. The balance of the band is nearly perfect, but the clarinet in Lux Aurumque is a bit overpowering in the beginning, but that is my opinion. My favorite is Lux Aurumque, by far. Maybe that is because I have played it before, and I have seen it performed several times by various college bands. Fantastic album overall. -BandNerd-
