  • Good for the Soul

This is a great album to play to get into a content, meditative state. I love to play it during my bedtime yoga routine. I agree that it's also great for sharing with your circle. The chants give you a sense of community and interconnectedness and most are simple to learn. For me, it awakens that inner silent being that knows true peace, and makes my femininity feel honored. As far as the criticisms on inotation and timing, I feel the album serves its purpose well and sounds lovely - I'm a vocalist (though I'm not claiming to be an expert by any means!), and wasn't bothered at all by any imperfections - I hardly noticed them.

This is my favorite pagan album. I love to play it before circle to get into the mood, or to just listen to the beautiful female voices. With such a dearth of pagan spiritual music available, it is surprising to have found it here on iTunes!

This album is lovely and certainly a great one to play before circle. For those of us concerned about meaning, criticisms regarding intonation and timing are completely unecessary.

Very nice music, but I agree with the other posts that there seemed to be some obvious intonation issues. Too bad too, because it is a lovely compilation. Brightest Blessings )0(
  • Great Voices, But Watch Intonation

I love this CD, but was irked on the very first track. Compare the last note of the canon at about :22 into the track. The last note is the very same as the first note, but by the time the singers get to the end of the canon the first time through, they nearly dropped the entire key a half step. I don't even have perfect pitch and it was noticeable. Still a great CD with good variety of music.
