  • This is what Hip Hop was made for.

As soon as the first notes of Philip Glass’ Candyman score on Genabis popped off, so did my head and my neck. Legend has it, that disembodied head is still bobbing around to this Masterclass of an album. 5/5
  • GREATEST HIP HOP ALBUM

In my opinion this is the most complete hip hop album. This album is timeless 15 years later it doesn’t sound dated. Between Stoupe’s production and Canibus’s lyrics nothing in pure hip hop can touch it.

Don't get me wrong. Canibus is probably the best lyricist nowdays. But, his delivery and overall meaning in his songs are a bit shallow. His beats could definately use some work too. But, none the less, I give this album a solid 7 out of 10. Lyrics-10/10 Flow-8.5/10 Beats-6/10 Delivery5/10 Meaning-6.5/10

This would be what we'd get enlightened from. Bought it release day & still can listen to it like it's new some 7 yrs late. Your collection isn't complete without this classic. Poet Laurette II is the BEST song ever composed.

Canibus is a beast on the mic. IMHO his balls are way to big for his own good (LL Cool J beef and Eminem beef), which is why he isn't a legend at this point. Don't get me wrong he did tear LL a new one, but based on merit he should be way more successful. Check this album out and you'll know I'm not lying (Classic!).
