"Beauty School Dropout" was the first song I heard by Burning Borders. And I was hooked! To my surprise, BB were 'harder' than expected...Kind of like a Canadian Stone Sour. It's not my favorite, but I'm glad I bought the album! "Truth and Logic" is worth a listen. (Check out my other reviews and you'll find that I shoot from the hip...)

This is a pretty good CD. Vocals are hard and straight to the point. The drums come at you in solid waves. The guitar player knows what he is doing. All blend well to make you want to listen to it again, and again. Nowadays bands put stuff together with some riffs and somebody slamming on the drums while screaming the whole time and calling it music. This band doesn`t do that, they came out to rock.

This band is just not heavy enough. Their singer sounds like every other singer you would here on your local mainstream rock radio station. The drums are ok but lets face it, this band just cannot bring the heavy when its needed.

Before listening to this CD, strap yourself in, put your trays in their upright positions and make sure you are wearing a cup. A helmet wouldn't hurt, either. This CD shreds and has a very heavy sound that both bruises and lacerates your earholes! All around good stuff!
