When I listen to this track and "Magazine" on the retrospective, it just blows me away that these are two songs that never found their way onto a proper Whigs album. They EASILY stand up with the best of the Whigs output.

God I hope there's more on the way. I've been a follower of Dulli & Co. since "Gentlemen" and through my time of relentless searching & waiting, nothing comes close. The Twilight Siners and Afghan Whigs have a great sense of pop and bare-bones rock n' roll that the result of which is a classic blend of great music to parallel each and every emotion life wants to throw at you.

Well worth the wait! Even though there will only be 2 new songs, I hope they drop one of their infamous "Covers" at some point...iTunes better be ready too! Let's hope this extremely underappreciated genius band (not that the Twilight Singers aren't insane too) gets inspired enough to do a full album...and of course a tour! In the immortal words of Mr. Dulli at a show a few years back at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC..."Mofos, I hope your're ready to be here a while!...puff...puff!"

After a much too long break, the Afghan Whigs are back with this single from a retrospective that includes some stunning new material such as "I'm a Soldier" and "Magazine." True to their original form, The Afghan Whigs have shown that they're still very much able to pump out some amazing fresh material. I can't stop listening. Tour please!
