I played this Album over and over as a Kid. I still feel the patriotism I felt every time I listened to the album. I know this played a roll in my joining the Armed Forces. This is an emotional and motivational assortment of songs written by an American Hero. Like all whom have served this Great Country! Tragic end to a great life. What a legacy to leave behind.

This song really speaks for all Americans who put the uniform on and survived there country. And then to come home and let others hear such a grand story of a life, through a song! Some my call it brain washing,if so I know a few people who could use a good wash. America,Gods gift to His children.

This is the only artist i know of who served before becoming a singer. Barry Sadler felt pride in serving in the Berets as he should they are 1 of the most elite groups i know of besides the Navy SEALS. Sadler's ballad of the green berets is 1 of my favorite songs. I salute u Barry Sadler

This is my favorite album of all time. I remember my dad playing it over and over in the 60s when I was pretty young.

This brings back memories from a long time ago. Those men and men like them were special. I was an Air Force pilot from '68 - 74 and realize how special those men were. I love to listen to this album.

My husband served in Viet Nam and served a total of 23+ years. I just lost him to a lung disease that I am trying to connect to agent orange. He was 63 in Dec. of 2010. Far too young to die. But this whole album....he loved it and listened to it often. We are an SF family through and through and always will be. Balad of the Green Berets was the first song played in our church at his funeral and will always be an important part of our lives. My youngest daughter and I sang while it played at his funera. He now has a beautiful resting place at DFW National Cemetery, where I will join him someday.

Makes one proud to have served. My beret is the single most important (and proudest) memory I have.
