Great album that has stood the test of time. I bought this record when it was new, just based off a review. It quickly became a favorite. It sounds as good today as it did back then. It's a great country rock record

Yes folks, it is. I love whatever alt country is, and this album is the high watermark. Cary Hudson is a tremendous songwriter and guitarist (he was named one of Gibson guitar's top 10 alt country guitarists). Don't miss this classic.

Blue Mountain is a solid alt-country bank that consistently put out quality alblums. I have every one of thier albums and feel pretty strongly that Dog Days is far and away thier best. If you like Lucero or Whiskeytown this is your band.

If you don't own this album you are missing one of the best experiences of your life. I used to manage a college radio station, and when I pulled it out of our giveaway bin and gave it a listen I was instantly hooked. This album has since followed me down dusty country roads, over snowy mountain passes, and past tree covered fields. This album is appropriate for any moment you want to remember. It both rocks at moments and makes you sullen the next. I had the luck of seeing this band in a small Minneapolis Club and stood in awe of the incredible guitar work and harmonies they pulled off. The songs on this album make you feel like you could sit on their front porch, sip some whisky and talk about old times like you have known the band forever. I have bought this album for 5 of my friends, and they have all had the same instant love experience.

These guys are true original badasses, and this album is their best group of songs. One of the easiest ten bucks you'll spend on iTunes. Check out Marah's albums as well, they're the last rock n' roll band, now that Blue Mountain's gone.

A friend put me onto this band, he is a big Uncle Tupelo...Wilco fan. A couple of years later by shear coincidence I met the lead singer and had no idea who he was; I didn't put it together until months afterwards...probably one of the most laid back genuine people you've ever met. Whether your sitting at the office doing late-night work or crusing with the wind in your hair Blue Mountain will make you feel good.

This is alternative country at it's finest. Full of meaning and drenched in sonic goodness. If you like Wilco, Uncle Tupelo, Son Volt or The Bottle Rockets, give this CD a spin. You won't be dissapointed.
