This popped up on my “music for you” and WOW! When I heard the first two songs I was sold. Roy Ayers has always been a favorite and puts his touch on this CD. If you like it smooth and funky make sure to put this in your collection. I will be looking forward to their next CD release.

This album is slick from begin to end. I found this a couple of years ago and I'm just now writing a review because it's been on my mind. What you hear from the samples is more than enough to buy the whole album. You will not be disappointed.

The Roy Ayers influence is very present. I really fell in love with 'Higher Self'. The melody and musical arrangement is one of the best I have ever heard. I only wish that there was more from Soulride. It would be smart for the smooth jazz fan to add this CD to their collection.

I simply typed in "rhodes" in the search box in search for music that has mellow and/or soulful rhodes and "Riff to the Rhodes" popped up and I instantly fell in love with the song. I checked out the rest of the Album and was SOLD! I hope this group makes another album, can't wait if so.

As I have grown in genres, I have tried to stay away from "cool jazz"...
This group does this genre justice!
Just enough smooth, with just enough funky groove! These guys are great!!! If you like this group, you should listen to Soulive and an up and coming artist- Carol Riddick...

If you enjoyed the late '70s disco era, you will find this a treat. It still has that disco feel to it but coated in smooth jazz. Thanks Soulride and special thanks to Roy Ayers , Bobby Depasois and K-Rob for a near perfect album.
