I live 2,500 miles from Athens, GA in L.A., but whenever this one comes on it's like a time machine back to the mid '90s in Athens. Good Luck Charm boasts some of Hutchens & Carter's best songs...I think I will throw it on right now. PS - wsp fans will dig the extensive cameos throughout.

This is a classic album from the "Classic City." It's a must have if you live in Athens and call yourself a fan of Athenian music.

This record represents a true rock&roll band in its most pure and raw form. The Athens, Georgia band Bloodkin is the fruit of the toil and sweat of songwriters Daniel Hutchens and Eric Carter. These guys have inspired fellow Athenians such as Widespread Panic (who do cameo appearances on this record and was originally released on John Bell's label Back Door Records). Bloodkin continues a long and nasty musical tradition of true intention thru the school of hard knocks. Anyone who enjoys the recent triumphs of Drive By Truckers, Steve Earle.....or the classics of Gram Parsons or Skynard....you will find Bloodkin to be a familiar southern tapestry of gritty music and real lyrics.
