Reviews

  • Schifrin continues to impress...

I've loved Schifrin as a composer ever since I saw Cool Hand Luke. His jazzy tones and earlier work were all unique and enjoyable. I was skeptical when I heard he was working on Rush Hour but he pulled through for me with upbeat Oriental segments and his trademark brass parts. I can't say that I highly reccomend anything except for the two titles and "The Edge of Night" on this particular album. However, if you enjoy anything here than have look at the Cool Hand Luke theme and the Rush Hour 2 soundtrack. (despite what cynical reviews may have been posted there...)
  • Great Soundtrack for a great TV show

Good stuff though I wish the lyrics to "edge of Night" were included. Schifrin was most famous for Mission Impossible but Mannix was also great TV score. And Gail Fisher as Peggy.
