On my search for Super Sucker I stumbled across the fact that this great under-rated actor has a musical career. This is some of the best stuff I have ever listened to. If you have seen and loved Escanaba in da Moonlight then you will absolutely love this. I have the feeling that this sound will echo in my head for weaks to come. If you want proof you should shell out the dollar and listen to Are You As Excited, its not the most upbeat, but it shows off his song writing skills.
  • Suprisingly Good!

I first found this album by accident while doing in Search for the term "Yooper". I went to school for four years in Marquette, Michigan and every now and then I get the urge to remind myself about da good ol UP This is album is actually really good; the music is a folk/blues style which is equal parts serious and fun. Stand outs include "Orville Wright", "Forgive me Robert Johnson" and "Mile 416" with a special favorite being "The Ballad of the Buckless Yooper", a song based on the movie "Escanaba in Da Moonlight" a longtime favorite of mine and my family.

I fell in love with Jeff Daniels music after hearing him play Lifelong Tiger Fan Blues before a Detroit Tigers game. His new version The Lifelong Tiger Fan Blue Revisited is now one of my favorite songs! I love his music!

I had no idea Jeff Daniels had recorded music, although I knew he was a songwriter. I somehow found out about the albums after somehow finding his MySpace page. I'm still working my way through this album but I bought it after hearing the fun Tomato Puddin' and the beautiful 'Middle of the Night'. A lot of the songs are basically Jeff telling stories. I highly recommend this album.
