If you are a fan of the movie, and you find yourself on your own Sideways tour, this is the necessary soundtrack. So much fun to travel with this music while visiting (and re-enacting!) the scenes throughout Santa Barbara's wine country. Playing it now after returning, the spirit is kept alive by this wonderful score to an equally wonderful movie. Pour yourself a glass and enjoy!

Sideways is one of my favorite movies of all time, and the score is brilliant. It both captures and sets the feel and atmosphere of the story. I love driving around to these tracks

As Thomas Haden Church says in the Commentary of the DVD, Rolfe Kent does a "superior" job with the "musical cues." If there's any criticism, it's that the CD ends too quickly, clocking in at under 38 minutes. On the other hand, "padding" it with songs that were in the film, e.g., "Two Tickets to Paradise" or "Snortin' Whiskey and Drinkin' Cocaine" (though the latter did coincide with one of the wackier moments) would've ruined the overall mood. A real keeper.

This album is comprised of 15 original pieces of music, composed by Rolfe Kent. If you have seen the movie than you already are familiar with the amazing soundtrack. If not, I highly suggest listening to some of the clips. I'm not sure exactly how to describe the sound, but I consider most of the tracks to be quite jazzy. Anyways, this CD makes for great morning and evening music...
