I saw Anthony David open for India Arie about 1 1/2 ago. It was breath taking. His soulful lyrics captivate you and take you into another world. I bought the CD then and STILL can't put it down. I listen to it over and over and the mix of souful lyrics and jazzy cords hit the spot everytime. What more can i say...i love it!!

He puts me in mind of Anthony Hamilton, but with a distinct uniqueness...I love "Cheatin' Man"...very well sung and awesome tunes.

iTunes suggested this CD based on my previous purchases and I've been in love with this man and his music from the first strike of his guitar. He's so real and so pure and you don't find that a lot in today's new artists. You go boy!!

Pretty good album. If you heard him live with India Arie he sounds much better live & without all the added stuff in the back ground.
  • a perfect blend

this entire album is simply amazing. it's the perfect of jazz and acoustic guitar (especially acoustic guitar) and infuses an amazing feeling once you listen to it. the only way to find out is to just let the album flow. I can't wait until his newest album debuts this month!

I was able to hear him live over the weekend opening for KEM and I must say that he is truly talented. His music is so down to earth, it makes you feel like you lived in his neighborhood. It's a wonderful album for those who love real music.

I just picked up this offering from Mr. David. All I have to say is WOW! This brother has been out here for a couple of years now and I'm just happy to have finally heard is stuff. The lyrics, the harmony, the vibe; its all there. Its truth and definitely hot. I'd recommend it because the sound is timeless. - The Reckless Sage

I know this was released in 2004, but I heard it for the first time, late 2005, and have been a huge fan ever since. Definitely smooth and rhythmic. I often find myself singing the songs in the middle of the day for no apparent reason. The beats have a simple and primal feel to them, very sentuous sound, great to relax to. #3 Spittin' Game and #4 Cold Turkey are two of my favorites.
