Betterman (Live) is a Gritty, Bayou-Driven perfomance that has the raw edge that music is supposed to have. The Trio bares themselves for the art of the performance. Very Bluesey slide guitar that few can match. The ability to capture the essence of a live performance is something few bands have ever been able to accomplish. Think 'Live at Luther College" par excellence. Masterful!!

Im a huge music lover. I just found john butler trio in the last couple weeks and I am completly blown away. This band is one of the best I have heard in the past 15 years....leaves you speechless!!!

I hadn't heard of JBT until only a month ago. Across the Universe is a pretty decent cover; Treat Yo Mama's new twist in sound is pretty good. But once I heard the version of Betterman that 's included on this album I was absolutely hooked to JBT.
