If you don't own this album you need this . Great melodic heavy hardcore . Well written songs great lyrics . Buy it you won't regret it. One of the top hardcore albums ever hands down .

I've only recently started listening to Shai Hulud but this album blew my mind. Everything is just so good: the vocals, the instruments, the riffs, the LYRICS, etc. I am currently obsessed with "This Wake I Myself Have Stirred" and (of course) "A Profound Hatred of Man." Everything just sounds amazing.. Though I'm not enough of a fan to compare to other albums, I can say that this album rocks. Definitely one of the best albums I've listened to in a while.

People are super hyped about misanthropy pure, but in my opinion this is by far the best Shai Hulud album to date. Awesome music, definitely worth buying if you're into them or hardcore at all.
