Without a doubt, this has got to be one of the greatest albums I have EVER listened to... EVER! I have to learn the drum part for With your Kiss... I seriously almost blacked out when I first heard it because of it's awesomeness... well not really, but you get my point!
- Spock's Beard is amazing!

Spock's Beard takes the flame of Progressive Rock Gods and carries it into the new millennium. Sounding a little like Rush, Yes, and even Pink Floyd on occasion, Spock's Beard continues to create brilliant music with a unique blend of old and new prog stylings. If you are a fan of the great Progressive Rockers of the 70s, Spock's Beard will rejuvenate your love with the genre all over again. This most recent album is one of their stronger showings. Highlights are "On a Perfect Day", "Skeletons At the Feast", "Stream of Unconsciousness" and the powerful "Rearranged" which is one of the strongest Prog songs I've heard in a long time. If you are new to the band, I would definitely recommend this album as a first buy, but then go pick up "Day for a night" and "V-EP." While not directly influenced by Yes (more of a Rush calling here), I can't think of a better successor, and consider SB to be one of the genres strongest bands. I can't wait to see what these guys do next!
- Pretty good stuff

I like these guys, they remind me of a more techno version of Dream Theater, except a little less more technical as DT.

The last Spock's Beard album I purchased was "Snow", and yes, like everyone else I was dissapointed Neal left. On a whim, I picked up this album after seeing the positive reviews. I'm glad I did. SB has really delivered an excellent, diverse album full of good tunes. While all of Neal's signature song-writing is gone, I'm not really dissapointed. It's the same great musicianship with a fresh new sound. A few mediocre tracks don't kill the overall aura of, ...well, awesomeness. My highlights: "The Slow Crash Landing Man", "Skeletons At The Feast", "They Know We Know"
- Fantastic addition to the catalog and proof the Beard still RULES!

It may have taken some time for the Beard to find their true voice again, and a few plays for this disc to really sink in, but it was worth the wait! This album has all of the best elements that distinguished Spock's Beard from the pack to begin with: intricate, powerful melodies and amazing, virtuoso performances, ranging from rocking to neo-classical to playful and jazzy. LOVE the orchestrations, and the layered and lush use of synths rivals any of the lines Neal contributed. RYO!!!!!! The songs really hold up live, saw the band in Hartford, CT and they could have played most of the songs from the album, they sounded so good and meshed well with the old catalog.
SPOCK'S BEARD CONTINUES TO CARRY THE TORCH FOR PROG!!!!!!
Nick and the boys deserve kudos galore for such a sterling release. More! More!
Buy this album!

This is not the same prog-powerhouse band that I fell in love with. Honestly, Feel Euphoria and Octane are not "desert island discs" for me. That having been said, this third post-Neal release is a GOOD album. Spock's have found their footing again and settled into being a really good rock band. Mature, intelligent, well crafted music. Buy it.
- Some more Beard at there best!

Spock's beard is one band that keeps the progressive rock flame alive, and this new album fit right in with everything else! On a perfect day is an awesome song, (actually by favorite Spock's beard song), Skeletons at feast is a cool instrumental song. With your kiss The Slow Crash Landing Man and Rearranged are some of the strongest songs. As far as the mind can see is a nice set of corresponding songs. Overall a great album and is worth the money.
- The best of "Post Neal Morse Era."

As a long time listener to Spock's Beard I have to say this is definitely my favorite of the post Neal Morse Era. There are a number of real gems on this album.
Selections 1, 2, 4, 7, 10 and "As Far As the Mind Can See: Parts. 1, 2, 3 and 4" ( selections: 11, 12, 13, 14 ) are great additions to the Spock's Beard collection.
Give this album a whirl!!!

Once again the guys have produced another masterpiece. This album digs back to their progressive rock roots and they deliver with both barrels blazing. Nick, Al, Dave and Ryo seem to be flourishing post Neal and have written some amazing songs. "The Slow Crash Landing Man" is an instant Beard classic as are "All That's Left", and "With Your Kiss.”

Excellent music. Remember with Spocks Beard and other Prog Rockers, it is all about the music. This just flows. I agree with the one of the earlier posts, these guys have finally figured out life after Neal. Now keep moving forward. Can't wait to see them on April 27 in Hartford, CT.
