When I first saw this musical, I was amazed by how it can greatly pull on your heart strings. It takes you from the feeling of being trapped in a life - that you have not anything else of but of hatred and confinement - to the view of the desire to be free like a bird, hence the striking metaphor of the song, "Les Oiseaux Qu'on Met en Cage." There are songs that anyone can relate to, and there are songs that make you want to act "comme un fou" and dance! I would highly suggest this musical to anyone who has a love for the stage and remotely loves the story of La Notre Dame de Paris. Achetez-vous le comédie musicale s'il vous plaît! Vous serez si content que vous avez achèter le comédie musicale si vous choisissez le faire!

This musical was just unbelievably popular in France, for good reason. It ran for months, or some crazy-long amount of time. Seriously. This is amazing. The song 'Belle' was THE most popular song, like, ever. And I can see why.

Buy this album. I don't speak a word of French, but I can still tell how beautiful and soul-filled the lyrics are. The emotion behind these words are universal. And you only have to know generally the story to understand what's going on. The score is outstanding. The quality of the singing is extraordinary, particularly Garou and Quasimodo. Listen to "Bohemienne" , "Les sans-papiers", "Danse mon Esmerelda," and "Belle" if you want an idea of how the album sounds. This album truly is extraordinary, I cannot recommend it highly enough.

This music captivates across all borders, a timeless story. The artist ensemble is rare. The emotion is raw. Where is the world tour? Los Angeles. San Francisco , New York and Chicago have we been left out?

never been so sentimental after seeing the dvd of this musical. It's so beutiful and I had tears hung on the side of my cheeks. Thank to Richard for creating such wonderful pieces of work. I'm even motivated to learn French so I can get a better understanding of the lyrics.

I fell in love with Notre Dame de Paris the first time I saw it. The music is beautiful, and the voices of the original cast fit together perfectly. Even if you can't understand a word of French, the music is sure to touch the heart of anyone listening to it.

Notre dame de Paris has to be one of the best musicals, this album has all the beautiful songs with captivating lyrics for those who understand french. Its a great musical that follows Victor Hugo's The Hunch back of Notre Dame nicely.

This album is a must have for the collection of anyone who is serious about musicals. We had the pleasure of seeing the live performance of this album in Korea in 2005. Although we speak English, the music breaks any language barriers and captivates the listener. The best part would have to be Le Temps des cathedrales (Final) which is the last song, #53. When seeing this live, it is used as a curtain call and I will never forget the feeling that came over us the moment we first experienced this amazing song. Each time I hear it, I am taken back to that moment in time. I close my eyes and the music takes over. Again, this is a must have. Enjoy!
