Mimi Presents Trey Lorenz: Mr. Mista

I just want to know what is the world waiting for to reconize real talent. This man has been in the business for a long time. Where are his props? We listen to so much crap and call it music, and When actual talent comes along we sleep on it, well..... This should definitely win an award for greatness! If not what an injustice to real music. Mr Lorenz I appaud you and will continue to support all you do.

I WAS QUITE SHOCKED TO FIND A NEW RELEASE FROM TREY LORENZ! AND IF THAT WASN'T ENOUGH...I'M EVEN MORE SHOCKED (NOT SURE WHY) TO FIND THAT THIS IS A REMARKABLE CD! IF YOU'RE A FAN OF "REAL" MUSIC, SONGS AND/OR VOCALISTS...YOU CAN'T LOSE WITH THIS PURCHASE! THERE'S ALSO AN APPEARANCE BY MARIAH CAREY (SMART MOVE MIMI)! LORENZ COVERS MANY STYLES (MOSTLY OLD SCHOOL) WITH SUCH EASE, THAT THE LEGENDS WOULD BE PROUD! THERE'S OBVIOUS INFLUENCE FROM THE ISLEYS, AL GREEN, THE JACKSON 5, MARVIN GAYE...EVEN ARETHA! WHAT A VOICE THIS DUDE HAS. I DON'T KNOW WHEN I LAST GOT A CD AND ENJOYED IT FROM TOP TO BOTTOM! WITH TALENT LIKE THIS ON THE BACKBURNER FOR SO LONG, IT'S CLEAR WHY THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IS HAVING SO MANY PROBLEMS!!!!

If this isn't up for Album of the Year I don't know what will...what I do know is, it's not is that same o'l stuff that we get from the "Justin's", "Van's", "Usher's" and other perpetrators of real R&B music on a daily basis (I swear it must be some "club" that they join that uses computers to just plug in their non-singing voices and out pops cleaned up, on pitch drivel). And this musical talent Trey is presented to the world by Ms. Mimi, who is in fine harmonizing form herself!!!! It's a shame that what's left of radio industry is ran by a bunch of "no talented suits"...this sort of CD will NEVER be heard "on-air"! I dare...I challenge anyone out there with the power to play Great Music to play this gem. There's something on here from a R&B/Soul music standpoint for everyone who knows real R&B/Soul. I think Al Green, Ronnie Isley, Sam Cooke will be proud...even a Motown Jackson 5 lick called "Broke and Lonely" will make The King of Pop green with envy. And there's a James Brown/Sly Stone groove on "Propa Thing" complete with horns that nobody but Prince could come up with. I guess this album will go the way that "Donnie's" album did a few years ago (Yes another real talent and yes his name is simply "Donnie" check him out!!!!! REAL ARRANGEMENTS REAL BRIDGES REAL HORNS REAL DRUMS simply said...REAL MUSICAL AND VOCAL TALENT!!! Thanks Mimi...you not only have the best voice in the land, it's obvious you have ears to match!!!!!

Trey is fly, his music is great and I'm glad REAL music is back. I've been waiting for the return of the NEO-SOUL movement and he can bring it back.. Now if he could just call up MUSIQ, ALICIA KEYS, ERYKAH BADU, D'ANGELO, MAXWELL and the GodMother of it all... SADE! :) I'd officially be a REAL music buyer again! :)

I've always been amazed with Trey's Vocal ability, This record really shows his abilities and influences. You can hear his church influence along with a Jackson 5 infused "Broke & Lonely". His songwriting ablilities are intense as well, listen to "It All Comes Back Around". A phenominal vocalist and artist. Trey do your thing!

Damn, Mimi did the damn thing presenting yet another "hot tamale." I think Trey's career will take off with this amazing album. It's R&B at it's purest.

i went to the mariah concert at msg on aug 23rd and watched trey perform he is a great vocalist when he sung luther vandross i was blown away this album is a must have so everyone should get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
