- Tasty treat

A heaping, helping of Hippy Trippy, Mtn. Mystic, Herb Head philosophy by early BOA, an acquired taste for sure, but when..."I'm just lookin' fer good home cookin'...this always satisfies.

This is Black Oak Arkansas's third album and It has the same formula as the first and second album. Gravel Roads is a great opener and it is one of their best songs to date! Fertile Woman is a great example of the relaxed country acoustic music they played. Full Moon Ride is a great rocker and a catchy song. Mutants of the Monster is a rocker also with great guitar riffs and vocals! For $5.99 this album is a steal, if you are thinking "but they aren't very popular, why should I buy it?" then you will be suprised at how great this band is. I discovered Black Oak Arkansas as a teenager on Itunes. Now they have become one of my favorite bands of all time!

Even though this is not my favorite BOA studio album (Street Party & Keep The Faith are) the song Gravel Roads is hands down the best song they ever did. Saw them 5 times in concert in the 70's and never once heard it live.

The thing that I remember most about this album is that is marks the first major appearance on record for Tommy Aldridge. I was floored. Black Oak came through my hometown of Memphis regularly and ruled the roost. Always a great show. JD asked me one time, many years after the fact, what my favorite BOA album was. I answered, "If An Angel Came To See You, Would You Make He Feel At Home?". His eyes got big (you know that look) and he said, "You are a very strange man!". Musta been that Ozark philosophy.

Why would I want to buy this if the title tune is not even on this album?
I have the original vinyl copy and want to replace it.
Not doing it if I can't have the title tune.
