Reviews

  • Fantastic Album

I do not know what happened to my review and the other 50 reviews that were on this page, but they seem to be gone. This is a very cool album for the entire family. It does not matter what age you are, there is something for everyone. The selection of songs is cross generational, and the versions are some of the best I have heard on iTunes. In some cases these versions are better than the originals. Tunes of note include Power Rangers, Saved By The Bell, Sonic The Hedgehog, Ren & Stimpy, and the ever so hard to find Disney Dinosaurs.

I am a big Power Rangers fan. I bought it, I think it is very well done, and I am positive any Power Rangers fan will enjoy it.

Very enjoyable. Have not seen this selection of songs on the same CD anywhere on iTunes. Very good vocals, nice arrangements, and interesting concept.

During the Holidays, we usually spend more time with our Kids (whether we want to or not). Driving along in the car, I am always looking for ways to keep the troops in line, in their seats, and engaged in something. I let them go on iTunes with me and pick out two albums. They selected the Power Rangers Movie Soundtrack and this album. This is a surprisingly good album. Vocals are well done, and the selection includes tracks that my kids know and that I remember from my younger years. Fun to listen to in the car, we sing along on some songs (have not done that in years), and I actually know some of the lyrics. Great Family fun. Very nice album. Made our Christmas just a little bit brighter.

Wake up people. What part of "versions" don't you understand. These are versions of the original songs, which means they covered the songs. The vocals are great, the arrangements are great, they picked unique songs that almost everyone knows (big kids and little kids), and they added some creative flair without changing the integrity of the original theme. I like their version of Power Rangers more than the original. I like Ren & Stimpy, I like Saved By The Bell, I like Sonic The Hedgehog, as a matter of fact, I like them all. The only one I did not know was Cucu Bam Bam from Kathy. I agree that the Flintstones Theme is a bit off the mark, but it was still entertaining. The rest of the album is great! I do not care if they spelled it TV Hero's or TV Heros, what difference does it make. It works. I also do no understand why iTunes allows reviews like "get rid" without a reason why. There are several mean spirited reviews that served absolutely no purpose other than to show the ignorance of the author. I believe in freedom of speech, but why make a worldwide fool of yourself with foolish comments. One kid did not like the album, but when he found out one of his relatives sang on it, he then liked it. What kind of review is that. If you have kids, or you grew up with any of these songs, you will in fact like this album, and you will in fact play in in your car. I enjoyed it and continue to enjoy it.

Really good album, it goes away from the real theme in certain sings on this album. Fortunatly, they kept the Rugrats one(a show and theme song i remember from toddler days and love) Inspector Gadget, kept it. Ren and Stimpy, they went away from the theme, but I still love the changes, with them, the song is more jazzy. The others.... well, ill need and update on THOSE themes, but all and all, a really good album.

After bouncing all over iTunes looking for the Power Rangers Theme, I finally found what I was looking for! The journey I took to get here was very interesting, and opened my eyes to an entirely different music genre that I really did not know existed! There are some heavy duty players in kid music. With TV Heros album, I accidentally hit the motherload. I actually know most of these songs (grew up with them), and it brought back some interesting memories that I do not experience in my day to day musical listening habits (I am into Trance). If any of you Trance fans took the same journey, and ended up here, check out the Mantra Bros on iTunes, as well as the new Budhha Bar. As far as this album goes thumbs up to the TV Mania Orchestra. What made them think to record Clarissa Tells All, Doug, Roundhouse, and Dinasaurs. Amazing!

Perfect album to listen with the entire family. There is rarely an album that parents and children can enjoy together. I truly enjoy listening to this album in the car with the kids. We all start singing along, a bit silly, but fun just the same. Wonderful versions of Power Rangers, Sonic The Hedgehog, and X-men. My youngest likes Beetlejuice and Cucu Bam Bam.
  • Right Album at the Right Time

I initially had wrote a review on the new Rev Run vs. Big Daddy G. remix. That led me to El Meneaito, which led me to another site, and somehow I ended up here. They say in life "timing" is everything. This album somehow picked the right songs at the right time for two generations of fans. I grew up with most of these songs, and ironically my nieces and nephews (who are ages 5-9) are also familiar with many of these songs. It gives us something in common which is very difficult to find these days. These are well done and very clever versions. If I had to pick out the top three (all of them are good), I would recommend Power Rangers, Ren & Stimpy, and Inspector Gadget. If I could pick 5, I would add Beetlejuice, and Doug. X-Men was also well done. Bottom line- it is an album worth your consideration for purchase. They combined the right balance of live instruments with midi plus some very well done vocals. For you Disney's Dinosaur fans (great concept, but only lasted one season on TV), they did a nice version of the theme (only version I could find anywhere on the net, could not find the original). They also included the hard to find "Roundhouse" theme, and Clarissa Tells All theme. Both were very popular shows on Nick when I was a kid.
