  • Well, it is Nada Surf...

One of the best indie rock bands since who knows when and one of my favorite bands in my top 10. I have all of their albums including this one. These live songs are from high/low up to Let Go. And yes, this band sounds so amazing live, it's almost cd quality. So if you have all of their albums up to Let Go then you should probably complete your Nada Surf collection with this album. Buyer beware though! This is an import album so if you buy the actual album you'll probably pay around $25 for it + shipping/tax! It's good to see iTunes has this album up for sale for a cool price of $9.99. However if you are looking for a better deal, do a little research. I got the album for only $2, LEGALLY.

Nada Surf sound utterly massive for a three piece band. If you've seen them live, you know this already. They seem to have figured out the right balance between the three of them, making use of each member to the fullest extent. They have fantastic energy live and put on a really entertaining show. This record is a good example of their ability to play their songs with a fullness of sound that most other three-pieces aren't able to achieve. Go see them live!
  • Bout to drive 6 hours to see them because of this album.

Bought this after I heard Let Go, and discovered that Nada Surf is one of the most under-appreciated bands out there. The songs on Let go sound a bit harder here, and older stuff like "Robot" and "Armature" benifit from age and sound more and fleshed out than the album versions. I ended up buying all of Nada's albums, but this is the one I keep coming back to. 30 seconds does not do it justice. Defiantly worth the purchase.
