In case you are new to Dan--I find songs like "Souvenirs," "Be on Your Way" (first album), "The Last Nail" (Captured Angel), and "Dancing Shoes"(Nether Lands) to be gorgeous. Give them a try. I find his hits,
"Longer" and "Leader Of the Band" to be insufferable sap.

From the title track Souvenirs to Morning Sky,Fogelberg could rope you in and keep you wanting more with this classic album.Just coming into his own, Souvenirs was a small taste of gems yet to come on albums like The Innocent Age and Windows and Walls. Timeless and beautiful just like the artist who created this album, no one could express or capture the human experience quite like Fogelberg. Thankfully, his music lives on. Rest in peace.

Like many other reviews this is an album from my past, and in listening to it again it brought back so many memories. You know how you can not hear an album for a long time and then you hear it again and you know every single word to every single song and you wonder why you forgot you didn't have it. (that makes sense right). Well I did not have this in my collection and I have remedied that. This album is timeless and works well today. Dan Fogelberg was a great singer/songwriter and has influenced many of the younger musicians out there. And i had such a crush on him, as shallow as it sounds, I thought he was such a good looking man, he was as beautiful as his music. I highly recommend this album!

I was out driving one night in 1974, when I heard "Someone's Been Telling You Stories" on an Los Angeles FM station (probably KLOS). I was so moved by the intensity that I hunted around until I found an open record store and bought the 8-Track immediately. Turned out to be one of my favorite albums ever. Fogelberg's music was never half-baked - always full out.

DF was one of the greatest if not the greatest singer/song writer of all times. Through his songs you can almost touch and see what he is singing. He was truly a painter through his ballads. His songs are meant to be listened to out under the star lit sky with the one you love.
- One of the greatest albums of all time

My dad introduced this album to me when i was about 10 years old and I instantly fell in love. I have listened to it countless times and have never gotten tired of it. Anybody who is reading this review should buy this album. Even though it came out 35 years ago, I would still have to say it is my personal favorite and blows any music out of the water that is produced today.
