  • Best Santana is original Santana

Santana one is a fantastic album that goes from track one to 9 (original album) it starts of with a screaming jam that leaves you wanting more, it throws the immortal classic "evil ways" then heads into shades of time. Shades of time is a closet classic. The dissidence in the vocals between Carlos and Greg is almost enjoyable. The song is addicting and you'll want to listen to it over and over again. Shades of time and persuasion is enough of a reason to listen to the album... They are hidden classics. Of course you will get the classics in jingo, evil ways and soul sacrifice. This album in it's entirety, is 5 stars on many levels... It's musical, soulful, and almost invigorating. As a lifelong santana fan, I only heard Santana one IN IT'S ENTIRETY just three short weeks ago. Purchase this album you will not regret it!!!!!

In some of his reviews, the word skill is used: which is an understatement the mastery is a more appropriate word. If you look at the time and the body of work, yes Santana is not for everyone but if you want to feel music; feel it with a depth that can evoke an inner personnel image not the MTV type but something you can see with your ears, Carlos Santana can do just that! If you really want to understand what I am talking about, just watch the way his fingers glide to produce the smooth view.
