On her second album, multi-racial singer-songwriter Amanda Marshall assembled a brilliant collection of well written, powerfully sung tracks, all of which excel at telling an emotional story. Unfortunately she hit a lot of "industry speedbumps" after this record came out, and fell of the radar for quite a while, but I've heard she's about to release her first new album in years. I for one cannot wait to hear it!

I became a fan of Amanda Marshall the instant I listened to her fist album. So I eagerly snatched this album up upon it's release. I was not disapointed. There is not a single dud among the tracks. "Shades Of Grey" is a real standout, as it's a bit autobiographical, regarding prejudices in the family. Not only is the message strong, but the lyrics fresh and the finished product beautiful. This is a must buy!

... but that doesn't mean this one isn't good. It's still worth the listen, and it has all of Amanda's great voice and her outspoken lyrics. It just didn't have the emotional intensity that her debut album did. Still, I"m not sorry I bought it.

This CD is amazing. I recomend the songs Believe In You, Never Said Goodbye and If I Didn't Have You. The whole cd is great though.
