They're Coming to Take Me Away Ha! Haa!! - Single (Re-Recorded Version)

OK remake, but original is still my favorite song.

The original had a manic weirdness that this one misses, sadly. This is just an attempt to copy a real thing... that didn't work. Sorry.

The first time I heard this song, thanks to some helpful students of mine, they told me that eventually I would just start thinking of the song again. Sure enough, about 8 hours later in the bathroom, "They're coming to take me away ha haa!" Go figure, right? Ah well, this song is great and a must-have if you've ever heard it. If you haven't heard it, buy it and prove my theory that it will trigger at the most unlikely of moments.

This one's just lame. Please, iTunes, put on the original!!!

Although this song will never be considered one of the great works of music, it's one of my personal favorites. (Napolean XIV did the original, but oh well.) The haunting melody carries just about the whole song, which is what makes it unique; but that's not why I like it. I like the song because the lyrics are quite funny and I always enjoy a good chuckle at it. Despite this, the song doesn't hold much water as far as the actual music is concerned. 7/10!

Yep, this is a re-do, and a rather poor one at that. I have the original on 45rpm, and will eventually get to a place where I can set up my Linn Sondek LP 12 and digitally record the analog version and it's flip-side, the backwards version. Why can't iTunes get the originals? Is Napoleon XIV asking to much in royalties? Is it still on the Government's blacklist?

Don't be fooled by this remake, which is a pale attempt to recreate a masterpiece. Why is the original not on itunes??? Also, don't be fooled by FAKE REVIEWS!!

This is one of the funniest songs I've heard. To Slyfan When backwards it doesn't sound german. It sounds more french to me.
