Reviews

  • I am only assuming . . .

that the rest of the album, past the first two songs, are good. I have yet to listen to the other 21; awake that is! I used this playlist to force sleep when I was my dad's caregiver and had to sleep during the day. Not only was it an effective sleep inducer, listening to this brings back sobering but cherishable moments of taking care of him now that he has passed.
  • The interactive booklet does not work...

I don't have any complaints about the album itself (although, if you've seen Silence of the Lambs you know that "Goldberg Variations" is definitely NOT relaxing). However, the "interactive booklet" that comes with the album does not work. All I got was a 4 second empty .mov file. iTunes was really nice about refunding my money but as far as I know the issue still has not been fixed, so if the booklet makes a difference to you, you might want to think twice.
  • Met all expectations

This album really embodies what the title suggests. Many of the pieces were new to me, but the ones I am familiar with were done really well in great renditions. The version of Erik Satie's Gymnopedie no. 1 was especially good. I definitely recommend this to the hardcore or the casual classical fan.
  • Brilliant Concept!

This collection was reviewed on NPR and I thought "What a concept!" To create a collection of songs that all have the same tempo as the beating of the human heartbeat is truly brilliant. Priceless for the insomniac or the average person on edge (who isn't anymore?) needing a way to relax. Definitely worth the low price for the number of tracks. Enjoy!
  • Simply lovely

This is an excellent collection of really beautiful music. Well produced and arranged with the integrity of the composers in mind. 23 songs in all for such a great price makes this even more attractive.
