- Great Followup

Dead Ringer is a great follow up to Bat out of Hell. It has some fantastic songs, including Dead Ringer for Love (withe Cher), Peel Out, I'm Gonna Love Her for Both of Us, and Read Em and Weep. To the poster below, Read Em and Weep was actually recorded by Meat Loaf first and Manilow did the cover, not the other way around.
- this is a great album

even though I was not born at the time of this album's release, I was lucky enough to find it in an antique store brand new. this is an awesome album and my favorite songs are dead ringer and peel out. I was very lucky that day because I also found bat outta hell. I highly reccomend it.

For those who are wondering, this album is listed under Cher's page because she is the guest female vocalist on the title track "Dead Ringer For Love". She does an excellent job.
- Under rated & just as good as "Bat"

This album is just as good as Bat Out of Hell. and it's better than Bat 2 &3 and all of Meat's other albums. I guarantee you'll love almost every song on this cd. More Than You Deserve is my alltime favorite meat loaf song and was the 1st Jim Steinman song Meat ever sang. I'm gonna Love Her for Both of Us was Meat's only hit between Bat Out of Hell and Bat Out of Hell II. Dead Ringer for Love is a constant part of Meat Loaf live shows, and Peel Out is an awesome album opener. I'm not a huge fan of Read 'Em and Weep & Everything is Permitted but they're decent songs. Definitely check out Dead Ringer, i guarantee you'll be wondering why this album wasn't a hit.

This is one of the best albums of Meat Loaf. Sadly comes after Bat Out of Hell, but is very well done!
