    I couldnt agree more with Juli Ann's write up! I am NOT a big fan of smooth jazz, rather soul, swing, bop, fusion and contemporary. And this CD transcends beyond smooth jazz. Kirk plays with so much emotion on this you can "feel" his playing, and Mike has got the pipes! Southern soul jazz at its finest! I met Kirk back in the day and told him it was one of my favorite CD's of the over 4,000 I own. He mentioned the CD meant a lot to him and it was one of his most personal. We need a follow-up Kirk!

    I am totally amazed that iTunes doesn't have any kind of a review for this album. It is one of the cleanest recordings around (mastered by no less than the great Mr George Massenburg); in addtition to that, the incredibly soulful performances of Kirk, as well as his guests, including Larry Carlton, Mike Reid (gut wrenching vocals!) and others, make this one of my all time favorite CD's...get this, you will not regret it. Listen to it at good volume, when you can really listen and appreciate what is going on...this will become one of your favorites too!
