Private Eyes is a masterpiece of music and lyrics, who knows if tommy bolín would have ever equaled it or bettered this album..the sounds on it are moody and cool, who can take a instrument and make it sound like Hot rod from a Detroit big block V-8.i wrote this review so why is it not posted!!!

I remember in 76 seeing him at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium with Brian Auger and the Obilivion Express as the openers for Tommy! Amazing nite of music and entertainment. He wore that flashy Red Matador type over Shirt and was ripping with such style and flair! Great band from the Private Eyes tour... Needless to say I was shocked to see him gone after that... But his music is as alive today as ever for us his fans... Rock em up there in heaven man...

One of my all time favorites. Be sure to listen to James Gang "Bang", James Gang "Miami" and his other solo album "Teaser" (which iTunes apparently doesn't know about). This man was taken from us way to early. He had an amazing set of fingers.

The person who reviewed this album is clueless plus must have listened to it on mono speakers. Private Eyes was Bolin's best by a mile. Teaser was great too but the sound on this one is tighter. Post Toastee goes down as his show stopping closer and a classic. Weakest entry is "Hello, Again" but everything else is first class. There's just something special about this album which makes it rise above thousands of others. One of my all-time favorites.

This album, along with James Gang Bang and Teaser, showcase an overlooked and superb talent. Taken way too young.........what did we miss?

This is one of the best albums ever cut. Truly under appreciated. This is in my line up of "if I was stuck on an island and only had 10 albums..."

This Tommy Bolin album is fantastic! Too bad about the OD. Let me tell you that I don't see any redeeming values other than the absolutley great music some of these addicts kicked out.
