A milestone in acoustic guitar work. It blends the three very different styles of playing by De Lucia, Di Meola and McLaughlin. It shows the evolution that took place after touring with the Friday Night in San Francisco material, which is less intricate and developed. In this album the compositions are simply astounding, ranging from the progressive jazz rock and hindu influence of McLaughlin to the intense and magical flamenco textures of DeLucia. Di Meola contributes with two of his most beautiful melodies. Contrary to what some people say, the three guitarists are playing on an equally high level, each one in his own style, there is no "greater" guitarist here... they are beyond that.
A definite MUST in the collection of acoustic guitar lovers!
Only 6 bucks for one of the all time classics?!!!

This is one of the greatest guitar albums ever recorded. Listen to how Al has total control of his playing going from super slow into super fast lines. And all done with incredible emotion and melodic sensibility. Let me just also throw in that somehow a lot of guitarists have gotten it into their heads that John is better than Al. Contrair!! When heard side by side, Al is clearly the greater of the two. Buy this thing. What a deal!!!
