Eric James brings a whole new feel to rock...and it is about time. There is a short list of good rock in the past 10 years, Eric James & the New Century is at the top of the new list. Buy this EP now because it'll be worth something in twenty years.
  • Really refreshing; artful pop as it should be...

I happened to see these guys in Fort Worth and they were outstanding. Really tight performers, crazy good harmonies, the songs are really great. So I bought the EP and it is even better. Very nice Nada Surf meets Pete Yorn type feel. I fully expect to hear 'Trust' all over the radio someday soon. Definitely worth buying!
  • A nice pop album

I saw this band play recently and thought they sounded pretty good, so I bought this EP. The songs reminded me a bit of Nada Surf, The Fray, Coldplay, and the quieter side of U2. A nice mix of acoustic and electric guitar flourishes and the occasional piano for good measure (especially on "Trust", which should be popular with the same people who loved The Fray's "How to Save a Life" and Howie Day's "Collide" ) makes this a modern pop EP that will earn them well-deserved comparisons with those aforementioned bands, and hopefully it will earn them some buzz too because these 6 songs are actually quite good, in an ear-friendly and *gasp* radio-friendly kind of way. I'll be keeping an eye on them in the future and looking forward to a full-length release.
