"There's only two things i hate: the Feds, my baby moms, HaHa!" This album hast it all; witty lines like the one i just quoted (Monster's Ball), in your face "i've made it to the top, you haven't" verses (The Machine), a chick who can rap (Dona), glory lines: e.g. "look at me now, Mega i'm trying to ice the crown;" funny reggae dudes (Dangerous), machine-gun-rap-spitting lyricists (Let it Go) and, of course, Mega's well-crafted lyrics. The beats are pretty good too--they're not your usual club banger beats, but they're diverse and upbeat (you won't be yawning as you try to discern Mega's messages). This album has no filler songs. So it deserves 5 stars. My advice for the curious: COP IT! (You won't be disappointed, unless you're into the typical "soulja-boy-crank-that-dance-like-you're-patty-cakeing" crowd. But if you are one of these people, why are you even here? There's plenty of sugar-coated stuff out there for you).

My friend recently reccomended Cormega, and thanks to him, I have officially listened to one of the best MCs of all time. Cormega prides himself on lyrics, and no one has ever had more of a right to do anything before. He is a lyrical genius, a skilled poet, and a force for real hip hop. Unfortunately, iTunes only has Legal Hustle, which is a tremendous album, although not his best, if that is possibly imaginable. Beautiful Mind is an anthem, with a classic beat and lyrics to match, Bring it Back has a solid beat, alluding to Mega's motivation, Tony/Montana is an instant classic with a solid appearence by Ghostface, and Monster's Ball is a head-nodding masterpiece. Mega is an inspiration...iTunes, PLEASE get The Realness (bonus edition), The Testament, and The True Meaning...5/5 EASILY

im not giving it 5 because it is not a classic, not many albums are (the realness and true meaning were btw). Nevertheless, Mega comes through again with the hard hitting NYC grimy beats and the f*cking amazing rhymes as always. Tony / Montana is a straight up CLASSIC with Ghost droppin one of the hottest 16's of 04. Beautiful Mind is a classic as well, so is Let It Go with MOP and Redemption with AZ. There really is no weak track on the entire album it is straight fire throughout. If you love Mega you NEED to pick this up as well as true meaning and the realness if you can find them (could a label please reissue those already?). word up.
