"Dreams" still ranks as one of the best chill-out mix songs ever, It's the song that hooked me on this band. The production of this album is strange enough to not adhere it to any time period...if someone told me this came out anytime during the last 15 years, I'd believe them. "Staring at the Sun" is the type of TV that i miss a little, i always feasted on the melancholy element, but I guess as a band gets bigger, they get less quaint. A winner of an album, back when albums were still albums, just a few years ago in this dead century. Sigh.

I absolutely love this song. At my dance recital, two senior dancers did a duet to this song that was fabulous, and then I had to buy this song. I love it, and the way it makes me feel. YAY.
  • Voice like Bloc Party, but exquisite electronica noise

I found this band accidentally, but I listened and fell for "Staring at the Sun." If you like Spoon or just mellow alternative music, BUY THIS ALBUM!
  • Not a good intro to tv on the radio

This was my intro to tv on the radio and I didn't care for it too much. But then I heard dear science and return to cookie mountain, now I have better views of them. And I could see how this could have very mixed views, but you should consider cookie mountain or dear science first.
  • I am so into this

I adore this stuff. This is by far my favourite TV On The Radio album. Dear Science is okay, but it sounds too constructed, if that makes sense. This may be one of my top 10, but I can't count my chickens yet.

I can't believe so many people like this cd. It is the worst mix of random sound and electronic voice I've ever heard. One person called this "real music." I don't know what he's been listening to, but this certainly doesn't qualify.

I hve been listening to this album since it's release in 2004. Reminds me of a post punk version of D'Angelo's Voodoo. Minimalist and huge at the same time, with so much feeling. There are only a few people, who I have shared this with, who fully appreciate what it has to offer. Take the time to get to know this one. Listen to Return to Cookie Mountain too, another incredible album by these guys.
  • I can't stop listening to this music!!

This album is so well rounded it's absolutely amazing. I can't let a day go by without listening to the 'Staring at the Sun' (Demo) atleast 5 times!! It's just so good! It is raw, provocative, sensual sound, just amazing. They are amazing.
