- Good voice/Talent wasted

Like the album before it (that concerns Floor as vocalist) or any other album with floor this album is aweful. The only songs floor did with nightwish that I like are “Endless forms most beautiful”, “Elan” and “Alpenglow”. They might as well call it quits if they continue to release albums like this one. After Anette it went down hill from there as far as material/“songs” released😔☹️Another boring album. It’s not floor - it’s what they keep putting out/releasing 😴🥱💤 during her era/time with the group. just another album to pass by and leave behind. :(

Though it reminds me of Dark Passion Play musically, I am not a huge fan of Floor's vocals. Dont get me wrong, she is an incredible vocalist, but as a pure ME thing, I prefer the more poppish vocalist that I can sing too and not the more operetic vocals. still, I will buy so that I have the instrumental versions of the album.

There was a time I was excited for new releases from this band, but the last two have been huge misses. I hate to say it, but Tuomas seems to think he and his band are a little too self important. Thinking Nightwish is the Wyld Stallyns and going to bring harmony to the world. Just get back to writing good rock songs.

I was listening to other music before I previewed a track on this album and thought to myself that it sounded strange. After reading other reviews it seems to make sense that the mixing is subpar. I hope they rerelease this album because the songs seem amazing. This album has potential to be one of my favorites.
- Solid 10th Studio Album

This is the third album with Floor Jansen on vocals, and for the first time it really feels like this album was written for her incredible voice. This album has the bombastic epic elements that are familiar with Nightwish, along with some of the heaviest Nightwish music in a while. The album has some beautiful ballads such as Sway and Laternlight, and some fantastic melodies woven throughout the album. Yesterwynde makes reference to Nightwish's entire discography throughout. A nice homage to the nearly 30 years of music from this band. This album is highly suggested for old and new fans.
- Best album of the year. Wake up U.S.A!!!

Who would have thought five years ago, I’d never heard of Nightwish and now they are my favorite band of ALL time? Music in the United States is HORRIBLE and has been for some time. The other albums charting right now can’t even compare to this masterpiece. If you miss metal being mainstream in America, give a Finnish metal band that mixes thematic film score style with metal a chance (Think Evanescence meets Metallica meets Pantera meets Mozart meets Hans Zimmerman meets some random piper). This album had us headbanging to all-out sobbing. I don’t write album reviews but for those looking for REAL music—It’s here! A treasure trove of beauty waiting to be discovered. Crunchy guitar riffs to David Gilmour wails, wicked bass breaks, absolutely insane drums, beautiful melodies and composition, meaningful lyrics…and having one of the best female vocalists alive on the planet to illustrate the songs is just a bonus. Listened to this in my car, on computer desktop speakers, in noise-canceling headphones, and on my home theater. All sounded amazing. Anyway, this IS the best release I’ve heard from any band this year. If music was promoted the way it should be, this would be a timeless classic celebrated 50 years from now. Phenomenal!
- Great New Album

Been listening to this band for a couple decades, and been wanting a new album to match the greatness of some of their older stuff. In my opinion, they did it! Their best album since 2011. This album rocks.
- Beautiful music, terrible production

I have really great headphones and found this mix to be really poorly done. The music is very muddled. I hope they consider to go back and reproduce this album.
- Album we didn't need

By far my favorite band i grew up with them since the inception, while past albums of late were all on the decline and there was never a hope to repeat a Wishmaster or Imaginarium they were still listenable to an extent, this album however, not only has an amateurish mixing, something that is hard to comprehend for me, but musically it is recycled and self plagiarized, not a single interesting song i'd want to play again, in fact it was a chore just to finish listening to it, a very exousting chore.

I love the instrumental/orchestral versions so much. I listen to those as much as I can. The whole thing is a bloody Masterpeice.
