His albums take on a different sound after I hear these songs from his live performances. The album is a lul, but I can imagine him breathing life into these songs live.

Maybe it's because I'm in the depths of middle age now, but I have lately become very interested in the world of aging artists--think George Miller's films of the last few years. It's the kind of work no young person today could make, and that is true of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds' newest album. This is a strikingly beauitful collection of music, and reflects an outgrowth up and away from the deep sorrow of the last two albums. It may not "hook" you on the first listen, but I think it's worth sitting with awhile. Good choice of release date, too--this albums has an autumn air about it, but it's a brighter autumn than we've seen in ages.
- Thanks again!

Thanks again Nick and friends for another wonderful album. I've been listening since Henry's Dream. Long live The Bad Seeds!

A perfect album. His 4th masterpiece in a row (Skeketon Tree. Ghosteen. Carnage) Wild God is Mr. Cave burning on all four cylinders creatively. The most important artist living today.

It seems that all genres of music are trapped in a perpetual state of degradation.
