From 2007 to 2014 Cudi was Genre defining. Flowing lyrically with a fresh style all his own. No auto tune. Beautiful voice and crazy beats that was a unique sound all his own. The records he dropped were phenomenal and full of inspiration. WZRD was a sick side project. Speeding bullet to heaven was a cool experiment but it missed the mark. Felt more like leftovers from WZRD. Man in the moon 3 was supposed to be huge. He released the song LOVE and it was AMAZING. It had all the vibes Man on the Moon 3 deserved and the album was nothing like it. Every album after Satellite flight has been so boring and uninspired. He sounds tired. Lyrically it’s trash. Singing about haters, girls body parts and getting blowjobs. Auto tuned out of his mind. It’s crazy to see. He’s gone from genre defining to genre copying falling in line with every other mediocre mumble rapper out there. Sad to see. Hope he finds his energy again. 🤟🏼✌🏼

As always, you really have to listen to a Cudi album like three times to get a good feel for it… I’m a big fan of this album. Motm3 will probably always be my favorite, but this album is super solid. I would love to hear him on a song with tech n9ne!

Here we are again. 11 albums in. Scott Mescudi exploring another sound and it so works. Idc who you are, or who your favorite artist is, nobody is doing what Cudi has for 15+ years. If you understand music, you have to respect Cud Life and his willingness to explore and tap into new sounds... UNAPOLOGETIC. INSANO is a masterpiece. Perfect record to feel like you can accomplish anything. Thanks for everything Cud. Warms my heart to see you in a GENUINE happy place. No matter the phase, your name is engraved in the minds of the young to be living 'til their grave.
