Maybe not as good as Sweetheart of the Rodeo, but it is still better than what most of their contemporaries were doing. The Wheel's on Fire is a great start and Old Blue is a true American song. I heard Drug Store Truck Drivin' Man on a tape I got years ago and it's taken me years to find it again. It is full of the Byrds' twang and nasal sounds and well worth having.

This album made me really happy when it came out, cause I thought they were gone, done for after Sweetheart... but I heard This Wheel's on Fire on WBCN and said, "X%#@ that's the Byrds, and they're kicking butt! The album version of that song (first on the itunes list-not version one) is the best version... Everyone was upset cause mcguinn in his usual mode of cosmo sound put a vacuum cleaner end on it that goes a little too long... whatever... this is the version that has some dread and excitement due to the White nasto guitar and McGuinn kicking in some threat with the vocals...
