Yellow House

It's 2017 and I still enjoy listening to this album. I really don't think Grizzly Bear has the capacity to make a bad album. The sound is like walking through the forest on the east coast. On a Neck, on a spit will always be my favorite song.

If you don't get it at first, try again. There is a lot going on here. This album is a "must have."

I'm so glad I watched skins or else I would have never found out about grizzly bear, an amazing band. My favourite song is knife.

I have trouble writing a review for this haunting, beautiful piece. Too good. Grizzly Bear at their most incredible. Please listen.

for that matter, I'm sure you will be having quite a few other of the songs in your head after listening to Yellow House one of Grizzly Bears best for sure, put it this way you might find yourself in some nature reserve talking to animals!! this album is GREAT !!

Grizzly Bear seems to be on the tip of the tongue lately with their new album having just come out. They've been on my radar for quite a while now, but only recently have I tried to digest their music. There a lot of rave reviews here, including the one iTunes posted. I'm not sure I'm listening to the same album. I found the lyrics lazy rather than abstract or deep. The music has a very pretentious feel to it, but little substance. I keep reading descriptions like "lush", "Vibrant", and comparisons to Beach Boys and Beatles, and frankly I don't hear it. I really want to like it, though. They've got a great band name, and some wonderful album art. But like I said, little substance. All in all, it sounds like an album that is very intentionally trying to sell an image, rather than music that just came from songwriting. Not at all impressed.

I first got into Grizzly Bear watching Series 2 of Skins, that sounds kind of stupid, but they played "knife" and I can't even put into words how it made me feel. Grizzly Bear makes you feel so many different things at once, they are one of the most original and captivating bands I have come across in a really long time. Buy this album turn off the lights, lay down, and just listen. That way you can drink it all in.

This band was sent here by the Grizzly God. I enjoyed their new album but didnt like this one much at first, I just heard the preivews, but i decided to get it anyway, and it blew me away...they have some sort of harmonizing..i cant describe it, it makes you shiver.

Really dope album. Got put on to them recently (the past two years) and I am a convert. They're style is so layered and and the arrangements are so intricate. Awesome. 4.25 stars
