My Glass Eye

Beth really knows how to write a good melody, and her voice is very pretty I think. The whole album is worth checking out so do so now!!

omg i do not like her voice and the whole glass eye thingy creeps me out... *20 minutes later* still running around screaming "make it stoppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" do not buy or youll be running around screaming "MAKE IT STOPPPP!!!!"

I saw a show of Beth, and I was just blown away! Now having the cd in my car and on my Ipod is magic!!! every single track is full of so much emotions, great song writing, sounds, grooves, colours,.. congratulations to the producer for doing such a great job... not to forget his work on stage which was awesome. I can recommand Beth to anybody who loves music coming from deep inside... on some tracks you wanna dance ... and on another like ( "you´re right where") you have tears in your eyes .... all the best to you Beth

This is hands-down my favorite release of 2006 (and most of 2007). It has been in permanent rotation in my car for months. The album really holds up to multiple listenings, I think in part because of the incredibly broad range of material, and partially because of the impressive songwriting and music. "Home By Now" and "Double-Wide" are beautiful and heartbreaking. "Beautiful Lie" oscillates between washy, quiet introspection and full-on arena rock. "Mr. Lovely" is seemingly lighter fare - loud buzzy rock...but it holds some surprises. All in all, the whole album is a refreshing surprise.

Listeners- this is how I rate this album 1. Stand- It's Okay, nothing really pulls me to it 2. My Mom and I are in the car singing "BEAUTIFUL LIE, BEAUTIFUL LIE, YEAH!" We're getting close to Beth! 3. Mr Lovely- Not very impressive. I think this was a waste to put on the album. 4. Awsome! it was supposed to be on a show, but wasn't put on. Opposite of regular stories where the boy goes crazy instead of the girl. Pretty sweet, YO! 5. Once was way to much and... this song rocks! 6. Double Wide-Good beat, bad lyrics. 7.Home By Now-Catchy Lyrics 8. Got the Time- WHY??? 9. Bound- Ok, I guess 10. My Glass Eye-I think it was a mistake to name the album after this. Kinda confusing. 11.Birmingham-Is this true? 12. Done- Haven't really enjoyed it 13. Eleanor Rigby-She made the beatles look bad with this one! You rock beth! Say hi to your cats for me!

This album rocks! I love every single track. I especially love the cover of Eleanor Rigby. If you are a Beth Thornley fan you are going to be thrilled with this new album. If you're not a fan yet you will be. This woman has an amazing voice and she really mixes up her styles to give you a little of everything. Buy this album!
