  • Absolutely great Ryche album!

IMHO, this is the best Ryche album since Empire. Todd kills the vocals and there are some seriously awesome tracks. My personal favorite is Chapters, just an incredible song. The album harkens back to the Ryche’s style before Geoff got all weird, I mean he was always weird but fans know what I mean. I honestly can’t wait for the next album. This one is great if you dig classic Ryche.

Those of you who think this is Queensrÿche. Stop drinking this garbage. Bitter and tasteless like all the albums after Geoff.

I’ve been a fan since the very beginning. I’ve enjoyed all the albums. Loved the first three with TODD but this is the best by far. Definitely in the running For best album of 2022.

The first few albums with Todd had some great songs with energy. This has more consistent quality song writing, but lacks energy. The song Sicdeth however is exactly where this band belongs as far as composition & energy. I’ll keep buying in hopes they’ll nail a full album.

When I pre-ordered and listened to the pre-release tracks, ‘In Extremism grabbed me right away. Since the whole album released, it has been on steady repeat. There are so many good tracks, but Nocturnal Light has been getting some extra repeats. The baseline and drums are very hooky and then there are a couple of tasty guitar riffs throughout the song; love the riffs and the guitar tone; the vocals are outstanding and the song structure is cool. Love it.

I've listened to this steadily since release and it's really growing on me. The first listen I was sort of not into it. Some songs hit me and some didn't. But after repeat listens I really like it. It has all of the hallmarks of a Queensryche album plus some new stuff. Some of the songs are truly proggy and strange with quirky riffs and unexpected changes; 'Nocturnal Light' comes to mind. 'Forest' is great; heartfelt and emotional. 'In Extremis' sounds like something from the old days of the band. The first couple of songs flow well together. 'Behind the Walls' is another favorite. 'Hold On' sounds like a tune from the Empire era. I wasn't really a fan of the Billy Idol cover. I appreciate the effort but Todd doesn't have near enough swagger and raw attitude to sing this song; I think it's kind of out of his style range. But overall, l think they did a great job and am looking forward to seeing where they go as a band. A great album to add to my Queensryche playlist. Thanks guys for the music!

Ill never forget the day my brother received his 12 free tapes from Columbia and accidentally ordered “the warning” album instead of “OMC” he didn't like it but for me it was love at firstlisten, the year 1989. Ive been a QR fan ever since. I stopped buying their music after “Tribe” it was getting so bad. However this album, verdict & CH have restored my faith. We’ll never get 80’s QR back, but Todd and this new direction is not bad at all
