This not T.S.O.L a record label put this group together. True Sound Of Liberty is only great with Jack Grisham on vocal.
  • No, not acceptable!

I get it, TSOL drastically changed, even with Jack at the mic. Dance With Me diverted from teenage angst punk to a darker mood and Beneath the Shadows confused everyone (which was itself a "punk" thing to do). Even with Joe Wood taking over, Change Today? and Revenge still had a Damned-esque sound that retained the TSOL element. But, I do not what the hell happened here. Joe Wood doesn't even sing the same and the sound is way too lazy. There's a reason GNR succeeded and this did not, and not just because TSOL disenfreanchised their base.

I know a little about this band being a skater and outcast introvert myself I proclaim to be well exposed to punk. I can see understand how some TSOL followers hate this but I'm not really sure why, yeah they made a bit of a style change and they coupled that with a tinge of metal but I can't describe it as hairband at all. who brought up drugs BTW? who wasn't high then. this is a good album.
  • Awsome album! Joe wood is married to jacks sister!

iTunes skipped the TSOL album I'm looking for, "Strange Love". I heard the song "White Lightning" on a Levi's promo compilation cassette when I was in middle school ('87). The tape is long lost and I have been looking for it ever since.
  • This isn't selling out.....

T.S.O.L. did not sell out. Most of you do not know what "selling out" means. Making $25.00 a show is not selling out. These guys have always been a street band. This record isn't that great. But blame drugs for this embarassment. I'd say T.S.O.L. is making way more money now since Jack has stepped back in. The history of this band is intriguing no matter what era you listen too. Sex, blood, drugs, prison, aaand violence......get em all for a gnarly Rock n' Roll story....

I bought this for $2.90 on LP. Worst value ever. Are there even any original members at this point?
  • Sell out...

Yes it is! But it's better than their earlier "goth-punk" cr@p.
  • Great CD

Great CD! If the band would have continued with this format, they might still be relevant today. Sale out? Maybe, but the music was much improved with nice bright rock chops that brought enjoyment to more as opposed to their punk roots who only drew an insignificant cult following.
