Papa Roach is so lucky that I like all kinds of music. With this album they’ve earned their place in my Pop/Rock playlist together with Paramore, Pink, Coldplay and all those very popular artists. They are the type of bands you go to listen when you wanna go soft with your girl or afraid to show your feelings with loved ones or simply when you’re too sensitive. so Thank you for that Papa Roach.

I really have to wonder how this album is getting anything over 1 star. It’s TERRIBLE, just like “Who Do You Trust?” As I’ve said before, I don’t mind bands experimenting or changing their sound over time. PR has done it many times in the past, and they’ve done it well. “Ego Trip “is just a continuation of “Who Do You Trust?”, except there is a bit more rapping. Gone are the catchy choruses, and the melodic guitar riffs that made me love this band so much. The last couple of albums have been absolute GARBAGE, and it sounds as if they were hastily written while they were listening to Imagine Dragons, and they only wrote the songs in order to fulfill a contractual obligation. There is a reason why this album has been discounted heavily just a few months after it’s release, and it’s certainly NOT because this is a 5 star album. PR has turned into an Imagine Dragons cover band, and when they do rap, or try hard rock, it’s terrible.

It’s a little different, slightly pop/electronic at times, but overall still has that Papa Roach vibe. I’m 37 and have grown into an old man just as these guys all have. I’m glad they are still putting out great music.

Papa Roach’s last album “Who Do You Trust?” while decent, wasn’t as good as the previous three, which were a nice streak of creativity from them. So I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’m really enjoying this album more than I thought I would from the singles. It’s got a lot of great energy behind it, almost feeling like Infest and Who Do You Trust combined into one (in a good way). It’s surprisingly heavy at times as well.
Favorite Tracks: Kill The Noise, Liar, Leave a Light On, Cut The Line
Least Favorite Tracks: Unglued, which is the only track on the album I dislike.

Way to much bad music from these guys in the past 24 months. Another by product of Covid. Trapped inside with nothing to do but duplicate the junk we put out last year. Just possibly this ship has sailed. Staying power is at an all time low. Survey says: punt it into the heap of their last several releases.
Hadn’t been told? Your music is Paint Drying. Boring and unenthusiastic trash. So yes, I hate listening to your band. Retire and save people from hearing your asstard trash you put out every 10 months.
