My father, brother, and I all used to sing these songs as we drove around. I was probably 8 and my brother was 5. My brother and I would sing the words not knowing what they really meant. Our favorite line was "you can find me out back... Jumping on the trampoline." dad would always rewind to listen to that line over and over. I'm so glad to download this album onto my iTunes account.

I love Shawn Mullins and once again he proves he is a great singer / songwriter. I've had this CD for years but didn't have it on my iTunes playlist. I was looking for music to bring back special memories and browsed through Shawn's work. So glad I did.....he never lets me down. "Anchored in You" and "Everything to Me" are beautiful and I dedicate them to my husband. Gulf of Mexico -- whether you think of Florida or Texas -- this one always brings a smile. "Twin Rocks, Oregon" tells a great story too. I could go on, but if you love Shawn like we do ..... you already understand. Enjoy !!

got this when I was 10 years old from my aunt. listened to lullabye and let it sit around til i was 13. immature listener clearly. from the age of 13 to 22 this album completely defined my taste in music. if youre a fan of his you cant really put it into words but the music touches you. perfect and always will be. shawn thank you for being original and thank you for never selling out. any other fans should try and dig up "eggshells" from 1996 before he hit it with lullabye. its not on itunes its so old.... amazing album from an independant artist.

I love the two songs shimmer and lullabye! lullabye is a very peaceful song with just a tune you can become immersed and lost in. Shimmer has a great meaning and it too is just a wonderful song. :)

Soul's Core was the first time I have ever heard Shawn Mullins sing and it is one of my most favorite albumns and singer. Shawn is a very spiritual and passionate singer that brings his songs to the core of my heart. I love all of his songs and think that he really has mastered the essence of SOUL singing. Even though I like rock songs, I will always go back to listening to Shawn. There are very few artists who have moved me so deeply. I hope Shawn continues his singing and creates more songs and music. Someday I hope to meet him.
