For those familiar with their catalog and connected endeavors, several tracks will feel very familiar, echoing the personalities of previous albums. Track 1 feels very Think Tank; Track 2 could have fit right in on PLI, etc. While it doesn’t break new sonic ground, Down In Flames acts as a perfect coalescence of everything InSoc and immediately earns a place on the list of their all time best songs. OddFellows is a fun album and the THX version is an enjoyable new headphone experience. The band never ceases to be an automatic purchase for me any time there is new material, and this new album doesn’t disappoint. But then, InSoc never has.
