I stumbled upon Rock Kills Kid randomly a few years ago and have been hooked on their music ever since. The album is very powerful with songs that resonate with you on a personal level. The lyrics are very subjective and makes you think about life in a different way. My favorites on this album are "Hideaway", "Paralyzed", "Are You Nervous?", and "Hope Song". I find the songs soothing to listen to when I am down about something. The album is dark at times but paints a more realistic picture as you go through it. The music isn't mainstream by any means and very few people have probably heard of this band but I would check them out!

You gotta love Hideaway, Paralyzed, Raise Your Hands and Midnight. Most of the members have formed a new band called The Surrender and have recently released an ep, "Di Amor". Be sure to get it!

i recently came across this band after watching "prom night". after having to sit through that movie, hearing "paralyzed" at the end had to have been the best part. i've never even heard of them before and i'm really glad i found about about them. i'm surprised they aren't more well known, because their songs are great.

Not only are the songs catchy and balanced, they're also easy to listen to. And even though people are saying only a couple of songs are good, I've come to like all of their songs on this album. So let me just say, this whole album is worth getting, and I enjoyed listening to Rock Kills Kid. ^.^

A lot of the album is gold. The higher energy tracks start to sound like a better, more refined version of Death Cab for Cute (You Can Play These Songs With Chords). I see some of the Cure they claim to influence them. Overall, worth the money. Cheers

It takes a while for me to get into a record, but if I get into it at first listening it must be really good. Rock Kills Kid is one of these records. Unlike some CDs the first song gets you into the music no dramatic intro just BAM your into the music. The whole CD has a nice flow into it. It's not hard rock but its not soft either. The drums in the whole CD are great and the guitar and bass lines are perfectly composed. The vocals are also perfect and go well with the music. This is a must buy, and a CD worth listening to over and over again.
